This official start page walks you through unboxing, initializing, backing up your recovery seed, and using your Trezor safely. Read each step fully and keep your recovery seed offline.

Unbox & verify packaging

Check tamper-evident seals and packaging integrity. If you notice tampering or stickers missing, stop and contact Trezor support at trezor.io/support.

Download official software

Get Trezor Suite (desktop) or use the official web start at trezor.io/start. Avoid third-party links or attachments. Verify site URL and certificate before downloading.

Connect device & install firmware

Connect via USB, follow on-screen prompts, and install firmware only when prompted by the official app. Confirm the fingerprint shown on-screen matches the app.

Create wallet & write down recovery seed

Write your recovery seed on the recovery card — do not store it digitally. Trezor staff will never ask for your seed. Consider a passphrase for extra protection (optional).

Install coin apps & verify addresses

Use Trezor Suite or compatible wallets to manage coins. Always verify receiving addresses on your device display before sending funds.
